IPS Officer of 1985 Batch SubodhKumar Jaiswal will be the New Chief of CBI. Currently, He is the Chief of CISF. Subodh Kumar Jaiswal is appointed for 2 Years. His Name is decided in the High-Level Meeting which is headed by PM Narendra Modi. The committee consisted of Chief Justice of India NV Ramana and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary. Ministry of Personnel Training poted the Order of this Appointment on Tuesday.

Who is Subodh Kumar Jaiswal?

Subodh Kumar Jaiswal is the IPS officer of the  1985 Batch. He is the IPS Officer from Maharashtra Cadre.  Currently, he is serving as chief of CISF. Subodh Kumar Jaiswal has also been the Police Commissioner of Mumbai and DGP of Maharashtra. He is also the chief of ATS.

Subodh Kumar Jaiswal is known as Master of Spies

Senior IPS officer Jaiswal is also known as the master of spies. He has also served in the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He has also served as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. Jaiswal has led the investigation in several major cases. While in the Mumbai Police, he was the chief of a special team investigating the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam. The 2006 Malegaon blast was also investigated by Subodh Kumar Jaiswal.

The post of CBI director has been lying vacant since the retirement of RK Shukla in February. From the retirement of RK Shukla to the appointment of the full-time chief, the responsibility of taking over the charge of CBI Senior Most Additional Director Pravin Sinha was given.
