Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):
• N4 Certificate (Electrical) or Equivalent Plus
• Relevant Electrical Trade Test
Related Minimum Experience:
• 3 Years Distribution operating and maintenance plus outcome 6 authorization

Skills and Competencies
• Single phase tester
• MV & LV line construction skills
• Good knowledge of Low & High Voltage systems up to 132kV
• PrDP
• Coaching skills, Appropriate Valid driver’s license, Outcome 6 authorization
• Safety management competency

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain by – Performing planned maintenance on networks, up to and including 132kV in accordance with Policies, Directives, Procedures, Standards, Work Practices, Guidelines and Service agreements
• Repairs by – Responding to call outs and prompts from the Dispatcher during abnormal conditions and power supply interruptions on a 24 hour basis to minimize customer outages
• Build by – Creating assets on networks up to and including 132kV in accordance with Policies, Directives, Procedures, Standards, Work  practices, Guidelines and Service agreements
• Health and Safety – Ensuring a safe working environment and eliminate unsafe acts complying with statutory and Eskom requirements
• Training by – Providing on job training to Technical Officials, Senior Technical Officials and Staff in Training
• Customer Service by – Providing a One Stop Technical Service to customers
